2025-2026 offseason thread

There is really no point in trying to use reason here.
 
I mean that’s why the Dodgers are where they are with their pitching. They didn’t have to go out and sign Snell, but they did. Hell the word at the winter meetings was they were talking about trade for Skubal.

I don't agree with that. I just think the dodgers will get who they want from Japan.
 
Even the Dodgers have a limit on what they can spend. No one can hemorrhage that sort of money forever.

They are honestly really lucky they have hit on literally all of these expensive contracts. I think I read where, since 2010 around only 35% of players that sign FA contracts at 5 years or more, go on to post more than 10 fWAR over the life of contract. Yet the Dodgers have hit on every FA and even the guys they gave massive extensions to (so far).

Certainly could be the case. Just seems like they'd make a point to get any impact guy from Japan if for no other reason that to keep all eyes on them from Japan.

If we want the guy, I want em too though. Hopefully he succeeds and we get in that pipeline

Well then, I hope we get some news that keeps you “snorted six crushed-up viagras” rock hard, and UNC’s James Worthy Underoos crusty- both for a month. And I’m not talking about Cy’s Mom either.
