2025-2026 offseason thread

If the Braves had money they wouldn’t have non tendered Kinley. But they bargain binned him back.

This shows AA is penny pinching thus unwilling to spend money to improve the roster.

Did I do that right?

I wonder if this could be a sign Jimenez is toast.
Could be a sign AA doesn't like the market for a starter and could be loading the pen for possible bullpen games until he finds a starter at the deadline.

Jimenez isn't expected back until midseason right?. If he comes back it gives us another quality arm in the pen and we can do piggybacking like second half of 2021.

If anything they are gonna go with the 'Respect Your' Elder as a 6th starter

If Jimenez returns, this bullpen could be a monster. It should be good either way, but I'd feel much better with one more high-leverage arm. Of course, they could sign a starter and push Holmes or Lopez to the BP. Regardless, I really wanted to bring back Kinley or Johnson, so I'm ecstatic with the move.

If Jimenez is healthy, a backend of him, Suarez and Iggy is stupid.

No way will Lopez and Holmes both be in the rotation. That would be the biggest miss for AA yet. That would be the most injury risky rotation ever assembled.

And yet someone will still use the excuse that AA couldn’t have possibly planned for that many SPs to be injured despite the fact almost all of them are virtually guaranteed to be injured.
