Lmao. I know.lol, the comparison to him was physically (body type). Not sure if that's true, but that's a helluva complement if true

Is he going to be the guy who jumps up and becomes a big league contributor this year?
He or lodise would be greatIs he going to be the guy who jumps up and becomes a big league contributor this year?
AA got a cy young award winner for a bag of balls. He has been above average
“some”That trade buys him some credit obviously.
I think the idea is now if this is what he is (above average - far above average - whatever) should we settle for that as an organization?AA’s tenure has certainly been far above average. But he should be held to a higher standard because of that.
There have been clear opportunities each of the last two offseasons and the two deadlines before that when this was a 100-win team to do much more to put us in a better position to win another title. Many reasons/excuses yes, but someone has to answer for the missed opportunities.I think the idea is now if this is what he is (above average - far above average - whatever) should we settle for that as an organization?
I'm willing to stick it out with him. The injury devastation completely jaded what was building as an unbelievable core moving forward.
I'll fall on the sword on that. I think I remember Matt and I...probably Enscheff continuing to bemoan the loss of Bill. I don't revisit it though. In the end I always liked Murphy, but AA (while above average or whatever the thought is about him), has in my opine over the last 2.5 years at least, held a masterclass in bullshyt. Injuries...Yada..and Yada. We will see what shakes out I guess.. 'Hope' the Braves do well, injuries be damned. Also - When Murphy had a 130 wrc+ while providing elite defense in his first year NOBODY was saying what a stupid trade it was. At least I don't remember anyone saying it.
That’s just not true. The moves he's made/hasn't made? Aboslutely they have been.
Agreed.AA’s tenure has certainly been far above average. But he should be held to a higher standard because of that.
Considering the only thing Albies can do now is pull a ball 350', it isn't surprising he could make it happen 25 times over the course of an entire season.
If there are no lingering effects from the wrist injury he suffered at the end of last season, I believe Ozzie will be back.
This isn't fair. AA has only failed the last 2 off seasons and the last 2 trade deadlines. And they've been pretty ugly for the most part.
Young and under team control just to improve and already elite position (at least offensively).I remember folks were hesitant to give up a 800 ops catcher no matter what
Now that tehteh is back spouting nonsense....Also - When Murphy had a 130 wrc+ while providing elite defense in his first year NOBODY was saying what a stupid trade it was. At least I don't remember anyone saying it.
