2025-2026 offseason thread

I think the Braves will be in on one of the bigger bullpen arms still or at least the second-tier. It's hilarious AA said bullpen is his third concern and he addressed it first lmao
But if you can address a need, you go ahead and do it so i mean...

Per sources, Raisel Iglesias received offers from the Dodgers and Blue Jays worth around $16 million, but ultimately chose to return to the Braves.

Completely making up a narrative here, but $16m seems like kind of a lot, even for just 1 year of iggy. I think that was the cost to sign him *today*. Maybe you wait a month or two and no one signs him and he’ll sign for $3m less. If money were that tight, AA is hanging and letting it play out. I’m hopeful he’s got a really good plan (and a lot of $$).

I think this is a good sign. With the Baldwin pick I don't think AA is gonna want to give it up for a QO so I expect a trade for a SP where he eats money like Gray.

So to recap:

We could have traded him to the Blue Jays when they needed a closer, gotten at least something of value, let him win a WS with the Jays, and then brought him back. Or maybe Toronto would have offered him more.

Who’s to say he signs back if you deal him? Not defending not trading him, I would have, but it is at least possible AA wanted him back all along.

Are we running an effin' daycare? I know Anthopoulos said something about not wanting to uproot families and that was one of the reasons he didn't have a fire sale at the deadline, but these guys are professional athletes. Don't buy a ticket if you don't want the ride.
Did he really say that?
