Looks like a 15 per year deal with a chance to go to 20 based on incentives. Seems about right for an average player these days.

As funny as it would have been to see Philly spend 200 million on second baseman, seeing the Mets swoop in and steal him with an even more absurd contract is pretty hilarious.

There must be a reason these teams are going for these monster AAV short term deals.

I fully expect the next CBA to somehow benefit those types of contracts in a way that is only obvious to the few teams able to afford them.

I think most of us would say the Braves still need a starter. If you had a choice, would you try and work a trade for Peralta or sign someone like Zac Gallen to a short term deal?
