2025-2026 offseason thread

Man Cheff really gets triggered for hopping the Jim Crow laws boat about Ga.

I mean there’s no dispute at this point, it was a line that got eaten hook like and sinker.

It’s ok to be wrong sometimes. I swear people get too hung up on being correct on the internet to strangers

You seem to be under the impression I give a single shit about what any of you think. If you think my opinion about the twisted south has changed in any way…well…you’re wrong. I have the same opinion of all magagger land I’ve always had.

As an American, I don't understand your hatred of the modern South. This isn't 1965.

At one point, yes, the South was 100 years behind the North. But that is really not true anymore.

Let's break down what you're arguing against: for the sake of this argument, let's exclude Texas and Florida. The South includes everything East of Texas and South of Kentucky.

That's 8 states with a combined 50 million people and $3.5 trillion economy. That would be the 7th-largest economy in the world if it were a standalone country.

The GDP per capita of Mississippi, which is America's poorest state, is larger than that of rich nations like France and Italy.

You are demonizing world class ports like Savannah, Charleston, New Orleans, and Mobile.
You are demonizing the largest navigable river in the world: the Mississippi.
You are demonizing world class cities like Nashville, Atlanta, and Charlotte.
You are demonizing world class companies like Walmart, FedEx, Coca-Cola, HCA, UPS, The Home Depot, and Delta Airlines.
World class infrastructure.
World class cultural exports (music, cuisine, literature)
World class universities (Duke, Vanderbilt, Emory, UNC, GT)

And again- all of this is excluding Texas and Florida, which you really shouldn't. Add those two and the South is the richest subnational economic entity on Earth not named the United States or China.

And you are an American- so you are inextricably linked to all this. So what sense does your position make?

Who is the truly backwards thinker here?!
