2025-2026 offseason thread

Belli would have been way more safe, but the Mets' lineup has really nice upside but a solid floor too. I like this trade tbh. Robert isn't elite but he definitely makes them better.

I'm guessing they land Peralta or Valdez or both next.

I’m a bit confused why so many projection models (FG especially) are so high on the Mets. The positional situation is actually pretty damn good at this point, but the pitching is rough. They legitimately need two or three solid arms. I’m sure they’ll land one elite guy, but they still need a lot behind that. And the bullpen is pretty questionable too.

I suspect they invest in Frank the Tank’s media company…..it gives him false hope so the crash is worse and the clicks and views remain high…

Marino says the Mets are having conversations with the Brewers about Peralta. Said Tong was the initial ask but the Mets declined. Now, they want Brandon Sproat and Jett Williams.

For reference, all 3 of those guys are FV 50s according to FG's 2025 updated list. I don't think the Braves have an equivalent package to offer, even including Cam (Waldrep is a no-go for Peralta imo).

The Mets are apparently in on Framber, Peralta and Bassitt lmao they obviously won't land all three, but that's hilarious. They'd be favored to land them over us all day.
