Confusing as their projections have the Mets at 47.4 WAR vs 47.2.

Projected WAR doesn't take into account that the Mets always choke.

I’m guessing it is a variance thing—at median we might be basically tied, but the 80th percentile Braves might be much better than the 80th percentile Mets team. So in the scenarios where we make the playoffs, you are looking mostly at pretty strong teams.

Yeah, that’s the conclusion I came to as well. The Braves ceiling is definitely higher than the Mets ceiling.

That is not what happened. It’s likely nobody will claim him and that they can just outright him because he’d have to give up his money if he chose FA.

I’d like to mention again that the most important item on the off season to-do list remains the re-naming of the board prior to opening day (preferably before spring training starts) to guard against an 0-7 injury and PED riddled start to the campaign.
