I love this so much. He's going to play every day and gets a nice payday to boot. I know the legal stuff was concerning, but he was a trooper in Atlanta.

Good for Marcell. And good for Pitt. They aren't looking too bad right now as long as guys stay healthy. If Ozuna gets back anywhere close to what he was pre hip injury, then the Pirates should have a pretty solid line-up. Lowe, O'Hearn, Horwitz, Ozuna, Cruz, and Reynolds is very solid. Then you have uber prospect Griffin who presumably could be up at some point this season if he continues his No. 1 overall prospect arc.

If they added a solid SP in FA like Giolito, they could be real contenders for the NL Central.

I was speculating that Ozuna could return as a cheap bench option. But I was not thinking he'd get nearly that much in free agency. Well beyond my comfort zone personally.

Same. Ozuna was a good clubhouse leader and Cutch would help fill a void. Still wondering if AA is gonna get another SP. if Bassitt signs somewhere else for 1 year then I think he's gonna stand pat.

I was fine with Ozuna as a bench piece…as an everyday player get out of town.

Good for Marcell but no thanks on that price. Would still be mildly interested in Hoskins or Grichuk if nothing else comes together for them that offers more playing time. Otherwise, keep the focus on pitching.

Bowman's first roster projection has the Braves signing Bassitt. Normally, I'd laugh it off, but he correctly called Dubon and Yaz before it happened.

Also mentioned Giolito and a trade as an option, but expects they will sign another starter.
