Of course, this doesn’t tell where the Rays long term future would be, assuming this sale gets finalized. But since it’s a Jacksonville guy, have to think the chances of them leaving Florida are quite low
 
Hoffman is an odd read.. The Braves balked due to medical.. but he has pitched all year.

His inputs look good.. still has elite 4seamer..elite slider.. but his sinker is harder and not sinking as much (not sure if that is on purpose or what).. He is getting killed by hard contact as well. You can see that with his BA against is in line with his normal numbers.. but homers are killing him..
I would bet with a minor adjustment and some correction to that HR/FB rate, he will have a pretty good second half.

But it makes me wonder what the Braves could have seen in his medical because nothing about his inputs or outputs are screaming injury influenced.
 
Tanner Scott would have been the guy to get. Not sure what happened there but if we had him right now instead of signing Profar we would be in a lot better shape.
