Video of Victor Robles chucking a bat at an opposing pitcher after a HBP (that he swung at, bizarrely). I particularly enjoy the emotional journey of the catcher, who starts arguing with the umpire (who granted Robles first base despite him swinging at the pitch), misses Robles throwing the bat and looks around in confusion as things go haywire.
Do we really want Acuna rehabbing in situations like this? While Robles went too far, he was pretty justified to be this upset. The same pitcher had hit him 3 separate times in a span of less than a week. It was the 5th time getting hit in a span of 15 at bats.
Here is the breakdown by JomBoy.
i think they’ll keep the al/nl and both have a east team replace the mets and orioles in your scenarioDefinitely think Manfred will start the expansion process once the Rays new ownership gets a stadium plan in place. Have to think right now Nashville is a favorite for expansion along with either Salt Lake City or Portland. If that scenario occurs, I could see an realignment go like this:
East:
Northeast Division: Red Sox, Yankees, Mets, Blue Jays
Mid-Atlantic Division: Phillies, Pirates, Orioles, Nationals
Northern Division: Reds, Guardians, Tigers, Twins
Southeast Division: Braves, Rays, Marlins, Nashville
West:
Midwest Division: Cubs, Cardinals, Brewers, White Sox
Southwest Division: Astros, Rangers, Royals, Diamondbacks
Mountain Division: Mariners, Rockies, Athletics, SLC/Portland
Pacific Division: Dodgers, Giants, Padres, Angels
I feel when they took the Braves out of the NL West all tradition died.i think they’ll keep the al/nl and both have a east team replace the mets and orioles in your scenario
Southeast division couldn't be more boring, gross. Nashville would be a curiosity for a little bit, but that novelty will wear off quickly when they lose 15 games in a row and are 30 games back in the division by the ASB.Definitely think Manfred will start the expansion process once the Rays new ownership gets a stadium plan in place. While the Rays are maybe too smart for us, it would be a very winnable division if that still would yield playoff berth.Southeast division couldn't be more boring, gross.
