2025 Spring Training Thread

So, I posted on this a couple days ago. Suarez was a pretty nice starting prospect back in the day, top 100 MLB prospect. The peripherals on his breaking stuff were impressive a couple years ago but the past two years have been bad. Wondering if the Braves see something and think they can fix him... considering the Angels are awful at developing pitching, I'm willing to give him a shot. Ian pretty clearly has very little arm talent anymore and Suarez at least seems to have some raw talent still and may excel in the pen with the Braves development staff. I am sure he will have a short leash so I don't see the harm.

I can see giving him a shot seeing he was ok in '22 before the shoulder issues (which can take a few years to recover from).. but his breaking stuff was never that great outside of his change up (his lone plus pitch).. basically an average fastball that averages 93 and a good change guy that mixes in a below average slider. Like most average pitchers, it will come down to command and control. Hoping that drops below 10% like it was before.
