2025 Trade Deadline Thread

Ozuna could be reasonably excused with the complications involved. Iglesias still being here is as much a failure on AA’s part as anything he has done. Even if it was for someone just to refill the clubhouse Coke machine, he had to go. Pathetic.
 
AA has made one significant move in the last year, and that move got immediately suspended for roiding. You can't have a successful franchise with that level of inaction by the GM.

AA needs to go.

this has got to be AA’s master plan. - He wants that pick. With Ozuna and Iggy as weapons for Snit, he has the best chance of getting it.

Said differently, AA values a top pick more than some shoddy prospects…..
 
We were never gonna get much for Iglesias or Ozuna, but the inability to execute a deal or two to offload rental players is kind of stunning.

As a baseball fan, I've learned not to make rash judgments on a small sample of data. But man . . . there have been a lot of negative data points flowing in over the past year or so as it relates to this front office.

I’m with you. I don’t rush to change course over weak and/or short-term data.

But we’re nearing an inflection point. An unequivocal failure at this deadline is the first domino, but a poor offseason will likely send us to the end of Anthopoulos’ rope.

you misspelled my name. I called the standing Pat two days ago. And state and I have been questioning AA as a mid GM for about a year.

Anyone who continues to employ twit is an easy call. You guys are just now finally seeing it.

Now just wait for Baldwins at bats to get cut in half for the rest of the year.

This. He'll get the offseason and if he screws that up then he's gone. We can't allow the entire Acuna window to be ruined bc of arrogance or the unwillingness to do deals.
