I love Acuna and he's my favorite player but there seems to be animosity with him the past few years and most of it was with Snit. When Snit leaves maybe things get better but the team knows he's a top 5 player but if they try to extend him with no luck you have to strongly consider the idea of it bc what he brings back could reset the farm all by himself. Boston is probably the only team that has the pieces and the money to extend him.
 
Back from the information black hole of Cumberland island. Looks like I am glad I got to miss last week's Braves performance.

you guys are funny if you think AA has any balls to trade Acuna. that ain't going to happen.

He is also not going to trade Murphy.

only thing I don't know yet is, if he grabs a few more dumpster pick ups and says he is going for it or if he dumps a few pen arms for an underwhelming return and calls it quit. But those expecting AA to do anything exciting before Aug 1st, are going to be extremely disappointed. This is a guy that is so fixated on value and not overpaying that he is always going to be underwhelming unless he finds a sucker like Boston to take a nothing and give the team a Cy young, injury plagued pitcher.

Then maybe... I don't know... get rid of a terrible manager instead of a great player. Like do it now

you have to honor the 50 years of good ol' boy stupidity he has given the org.. Celebrate him or you are not a real Braves fan. Hell, they might extend him for 1 more year just so he has a proper farewell tour and make his leeching of the org an even 50 years. Don't be surprised.

That's what I'm afraid of.
 
If Alex accepted any of those offers, he should be fired. You’ve got to get at least two prospects in the top ten of a team’s farm system and another in the top 20. This talk is ridiculous anyway

it isn't even in the top 10 of a particular farm.. you would need to get impact players at several positions and that are close to contributing. You are looking at at least a 60fv and 2/3 50-55 FVs...

If you trade Acuna this offseason, then it actually makes sense to trade Sale and Ozzie as well because 2026 won't be a contention year. You would be looking at, hopefully, a soft rebuild and target 2027 as your go year with a young exciting team again.

I'm leaning more towards this because of the stupid even number and Snit probably not wanting to go out on a losing team. If he's been leaning towards retirement after 2025 for 9 months now, why not go ahead and announce it?

If AA does this and it goes the same way as 24 and 25 then his ass is on the hot seat to get fired. Unless the higher ups over AA make him do it AA isn't gonna put his butt on the line for Snit.

That's why I said Boston. They have the #1 (OF), #6 (SS), #40 (SS), and #100 (SP), in baseball. You'd have to get 3 of them, Duran (take over RF), and another good player to do it. That would really set us up for the future off just 1 guy with 2 new knees. And again Acuna is my favorite player but it's a business also.
