2026 ST Thread

Anthopoulos has unquestionably been one of the worst GMs in baseball.

He inherited an absolute gold mine- a team that could have been a dynasty.

And he has totally cratered the thing.

Now the Dodgers are 10+ wins ahead of everyone on their way to the first three-peat this century.

Freddie for Olson, losing Dansby, losing Fried, trading Wild Bill and Lango, doing nothing this off-season.

It's a joke this guy has a job. He is a Canadian, too. We should only allow Americans to steward this franchise.

He does not understand what the Braves mean to the Southland.

Hey look, here it is!

I didn't even have to go dig up any past moronic comments. One fell in our laps immediately after you made this stupid gotcha attempt.

Will you come back and admit you were wrong about "Nobody around here has disagreed"

Yes. We should have grabbed 4 reliable starters in FA.....Brilliant. How teams haven't contacted you to be their GM is a mystery.

Do you understand how big of an idiot you make yourself out to be?

You understand he wasn't actually disagreeing that we should have grabbed a quality SP in FA, right?

This is now the 5th time I've counted MLBTR essentially saying "why haven't those iditos added any SP depth?": https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/03/braves-spencer-strider-injured-list-oblique.html

To recap the legit MLB SP options going into 2026:

Sale - TOR guy made of glass, still healthy
Strider - Velocity never came back after elbow surgery, now injured
Lopez - Shoulder surgery, velocity now down in the 80s
Schwelly - broken elbow, now having surgery on that elbow
Waldrep - perfectly healthy regression candidate, now injured anyways
Holmes - rehabbed UCL tear, seems healthy

So yeah, the most injury prone rotation in MLB got bit by injuries, and ST isn't even over. No way that could have been predicted. It came completely out of the blue. Nobody could have possibly tried to make any plans to address these injuries.

You keep arguing with no one. Literally everyone thought AA should have grabbed a quality SP aside from maybe thethe. I don't even know exactly what his stance was.

I don’t think that quote is saying what you are claiming.

At bat also showing split.. not sure the data on it yet
It was intimated to me that DF was dominating with two pitches so they've kept that as a focus. Makes sense. Out of the pen...probably the same thing. I'm sure he'll bust open the other two pitches in gwinnett, but he going to show them more I hope , but....maturity. He's been using his FB and Sweeper.

Lotta loud contact the last couple innings vs Fuentes
I wouldn't sweat it much.. I absolutely hate using this phrase.. but I think they have him working on things.. last game he didn't use the spliter/change (whatever that is) and was throwing his FA, Slider and curve/sweeper... today it has been that change thingy and no sweeper/curve.. so it is pretty clear that they are targeting certain pitches and usage of said pitches.

The worst part is the offense and bullpen both look incredible. The rotation may have reinforcements by May or June, but Christ this first month will be tough if the starters don't hold it together
