2026 ST Thread

Despite all evidence to the contrary the homer in me is still hopelessly optimistic about the season. I think we just need to survive the first half until hopefully the reinforcements arrive. If we are within 5 games of the divsion at the all star break I think we are in a good position assuming half the current non injured players arent injured by that point...... Anyways heres my bold predictions for the season.



1. Dubon has such a good year that it makes it impossible for us to re-sign him.

2. Bryce Elder finally earns some respeckt around here,

3. MH3 has a monster first half...... then reverts to Melvin form in the second half. So basically his normal season just reversed.

4. Iglesias shits the bed again as closer and gets replaced by Suarez.

5. David McCabe is our come out of nowhere prospect this year filling in at DH for us.

6. Feuntes is dominate out of the pen but stuggles as a starter. Too valuable to the team in the pen to send down. Spends most of the season as a dominate setup guy to Suarez.
 
Unless McCabe can actually start showing some serious in-game power at AAA this year, he isn't sniffing the majors. A 26 year old who can only play 3B or 1b (not well) and has a career minor league SLG of .404, is not MLB material.
