Maher is vehemently anti-religion. I don’t he’d ever support a Republican ever as long as evangelicals are associated with the party.

Maher’s fine. I find him a bit haughty, but he’ll at least deign to criticize his side.

I’ve already shown in my life a willingness to change political parties once my ideologies are aligned.

Maher rails endlessly about how trrrible the left is then he just pushes the same warped hoaxes and will support whoever the left puts up for election. Now he says it’s because Trump is awful. Be will say the same when it’s Vance or anyone else.
 
Also, I am not some huge Maher fan. But he is usually level headed and can call a spade a spade within the Dem party.

My problem with Maher is that he rails against obvious evils but acts like a deranged leftist when he brings up hoaxes. He isn’t a great thinker. He is just leftist shill but a useful one becusss he says some critical things.

No one knows who will run. But Newsome is probably the betting favorite.

But the DNC could push in the identity politics and go cult of personality to beat the Rs and convince Michelle to run. I think she won't do it. But they could force her.

Current favorites mentioned are Whitmer, Shapiro, Newsom, and Moore. Buttigieg will run but fail again.

I think right now it's a 2 horse race between Shapiro and Newsome but someone else will show up before then. Obama in 08 is an example of that, people didn't have him as a frontrunner until it got closer. 2026 we'll have a better clue.
 
None of those short of Shapiro move the needle. Most have gigantic holes in their rep and policy to get destroyed on….
