3/11 vs pirates

Inciarte career OBP against righties .341

Albies career OBP against lefties .369

The ingredients are there.

This is the platoon I called for about 2 years ago when Albies' splits started to become apparent at the MiLB level.

I would prefer an Albies/Markakis platoon in the leadoff spot, but Albies/Inciarte should be just fine...if Snit remembers to move Albies up there vs LHP.

Gotta like Wright and touki today. Hopefully this is the year some of these pitching prospects put it all together

The cream is starting to rise to the top. After seeing Anderson and not being impressed at all, and seeing Newk continue to walk everyone in sight, it seems like the long term SPs are (health permitting, obviously) Soroka, Wright, and probably Touki (though he still carries some BP risk).

The Braves need a ~12 win rotation to be truly competitive, and I think they are probably there once the rotation consists of Folty, Gaus, Wright, Soroka and some combo of Touki/Fried/Newk/Wilson/Anderson/Gohara to fill it out.

Wright on the bump. Wish the pirates were using their starters... looks like B team

They aren't that bad, they were once tag team champions.

Anderson is also not even 21 yet.

Excited to settle in and listen on radio to the soothing tones of...

Oh God, it's Joe Simpson.

I thought Joe sounded great. I think he and Jim have good chemistry.

It’s funny that one month ago Wright and Pache (along with Riley), were thought to be the more expendable. Now a month later if we made the JTR trade that included Wright and Pache...we would be literally sick. Back then ...many would have thought that was a fair price.

The thing about prospects is that it’s a gamble. There is always the right time to pull the trigger for the right addition. So many of our prospects have risen so fast at such a young age, it makes the gamble far greater.

AA made the right choice. Some of these guys won’t make it, some will be stars. It would be a shame to accidentally trade away the one or two stars to add a “decent” piece. We have suffered too many years for that.

If Snit can figure out how to get a .350+ OBP in front of the hydra this lineup could be very productive.

He will and it will be. Acuna is going to be a monster. I have a feeling we will start seeing pitchers be scared of him a la Harper and his OBP is going to skyrocket.

The #5 and #6 hitters in the lineup are gonna have to come through.

With some health luck, I think McFlow can be pretty productive. It’s Markakis that worries me more.

I keep waiting for Camargo and Riley to be given a game in the outfield. Spring training is the time to give them a look.
