3/22 Braves at Astros

Huge point there.

Perez will have a role.

In fact, he'll have two (or three or five).

We can roll him out to the mound every fifth day.

Say what you guys want but I'm actually rooting for Williams.

He seems like a guy you'd wanna have around your team in the dugout even if he wasn't playing anymore.

He has a good attitude on the mound if only he can translate that to strikes and outs.

Who was our Texas college LHP... High draft choice but had TJ from last year? Should be ready rock soon id think? Haven't even included him in or itching depth discussions

Never mind.... Found it. Minter was his name. Talk about a candidate to move quickly id think

I believe they are hoping he will be a starter. It was just scouting speculation that he may end up in the pen. But depending on how recovers he's actually got a pretty high ceiling as a starter as well.

My understanding is that Minter is a left handed version of Williams Perez. I'm thinking Minty Hippo might be a good nick for him.

someone here(I think) said it best about Perez. he is a guy that you will look at ten years from now and say how is he still pitching in this league and how is he still getting guys out. But he just will be.

Too bad we can't go with the 1-2 punch of Minter and Veal.

I know it may not be huge issue going forward, but I really think when you weigh all of the factors, the scales will tip in favor of Williams Perez.
