3/29 GDT - Let's stop f****** around, boys!

The last two games were basically coin flips and the first game was Hector Neris (aka the guy who shouldn't be on any competently built roster) blowing up.

So this series is unfortunate but not indicative (unless we keep Neris on our roster, if we keep him everyone should be fired, he's garbage).

It felt predictable Schwell would shut them down and the offense would **** the bed after we hit King and Cease pretty well. Still way too early to panic. I care way more about Lopez's health than being 0-3. If he is healthy we gonna win a lot of games.

Ok, maybe I overreacted. Still though, last season starting in May, the braves scored 3 or less in 68 of 133 games - .511. This season it's already 2/3. The lack of offense has been an issue for a while now

They wont need to score many runs if the rotation stays healthy. Its time we recognize Schwellenbach as our true ace. The offense has already given him the ace treatment of no run support.

Same sample, 42/133 (.316) scored 2 or less.

Maybe, but this offense is supposed to be good. They're gonna be together for years to come.

I dont know how much of this is short sample size of 1 game or not but SS threw his sinker exclusively to RHB and 4 seamer to LHB. Also he threw 90 pitches overall using 6 different pitches but none more than 20 times and none less than 13. He threw his SF the most after it being his 5th most used pitch.

The start has been brutal, especially the inability to hit with RISP, but I’ve actually been encouraged by the team’s overall approach. The starting pitching looks strong. The bullpen is still a concern - just like we said all offseason - but Bummer had some brutal luck yesterday, and the bulllen really only threw one bad pitch on Friday. Stuff happens. We just need to pull it together before it does become a real issue.

He's gonna be a force. He has 6 pitches and control them all. His sequencing at his age is crazy.

SP will be really good if we can stay healthy. The offense will still be a top 3 offense by the end of the season. Acuna is coming back and the team is to good to slump for long. Now the bullpen I think is the problem but everybody knew it after the JJ news. When Strider comes back then Holmes probably goes back to the bullpen and that will help to strengthen it.

The problem so far is squarely on the hitters. Yes, they have had a lot of bad luck, but they simply have to be better.

The pitching has been fine with the notable exception of Neris.

In terms of xwOBA delta SD has been #6 so far at +0.016 and the Braves have been #21 at -0.031.

With RISP SD has been #5 at +0.089 and the Braves #25 at -0.087.

So yes, the early luck has been squarely in the favor of SD the first 3 games.
