4/11/15 GDT Peterson Returns To Lineup

Markakis hit it hard. And if we've finally solved Dillon Gee, I might be ready to fully sign on to the Mukaki rebuild.

I dunno why I find myself pulling for EYJ...never honestly gave him much thought at all in the big leagues...now I find myself wanting him to succeed more than anyone on the team.

Still think he's a perfect 4th OF'er, but ride him while he's hot for now.

Didn't think I did. I get it, it's the opposite of Folty.

But so far this hasn't been Glavine painting corners. Both guys throwing it by guys. Tehran throwing some down the middle to good hitters. Just seems to explode on guys despite the gun.

JT has gotten away with a couple down the middle. As you say, though, his fb seems to get on guys quicker than it ought to.

I'm not making a value judgement....it's just interesting. Looks more like Mariano Rivera just throwing his pitch and knowing it's really good. Not trying to be too fine.

Comparing this FB to Folty....they need to change that scouting scale. B/c Folty can't be 80 b/c of velocity when this one just dances around the bat.

I've been a huge fan of his from early on, and I immediately noted some things about his approach and mentality that seem to help him succeed, but I still struggle to qualify exactly what makes him so good. His line very often looks more impressive than his stuff.

After 20 something years of rarely missing a game live or recorded, I thought I had to watch. It got to be like a job I hated. I finally realized I didn't have to watch, so I quit. This is good ball here. Good effort, fewer overpaid phoning it in players, excellent pitching, old style NL ball. Works for me.

I know the results aren't great but CB and Peterson look good at the plate to me. Not calling 300 avg for either, but I'm starting to think CB could be an avg offensive catcher this year.

Simmons hitting the ball to the right side is GREAT. Just wish he'd walk once or twice. As an 8th hitter you'd think he'd walk some.

Saying Simmons is another Mets killer is a joke. His numbers are closer to mine vs the Mets than Chipper's.
