4/12 GDT: Nats game 2 - need a win

Offense is garbage. It's 2022 with the DH in the NL. And we are running Heredia and Arcia at the bottom of the lineup.

We all knew the Braves needed 1 more bat, even after Rosario was acquired (and I didn't like the Rosario deal when they still needed 2 bats). Acuna's return will smooth over a couple holes due his sheer greatness.

At least Snit is deploying what he has in a reasonable manner.

I think we are going to live Elder. Love him if you don't expect too much.

This is one game so we'll likely either project him to an ace or a bum in 6 hours.

Everything I've read suggests this guy is going to be a very good and very durable fifth starter. He's not going to miss a bunch of bats. And our bad outfield defense may hurt him early. But I think he's guy you just let him be your fifth starter for 5-6 years while cost controlled and focus on other team needs.

And as for that bat, our current offense is good enough. With Acuna it is better. We will be able to easily hang around and then trade for another piece of lumber over the summer - and maybe do so relatively early like we did that year for Nate McSuck

Because Duvall is the CF, which is written in the medium Snit grew up learning...stone.

snit logic: Duvall won a gold glove in corner. So he’s better to play center over a guy who’s primary position is center but didn’t win a gold glove.

Just like hitting Rosario leadoff, etc.
