If there were sequenced differently, the record might be otherwise.
I think the hitting will be fine. The pitching is the real concern long term, to me.

The main issue with the offense so far is the #1 and #2 hitters having an OBP of .211 each. Obviously, that will change. Inciarte has a career OBP of .329. Swanson of .330. Neither of those numbers is ideal for guys at the top of the order. But until Albies gets called up, those two are probably the ones who should bat in the #1 and #2 spots.

His OBP last year was .346 and his projection for this year is around the same. Is that enough of an improvement to offset the other considerations: speed at the top of the lineup and avoiding consecutive lefty hitters.

would be hard for me to have 3 lefties in a row like that. every team now has a lefty specialist or 2 and we don't have anyone on the bench to counter that. That said, it looks like Swanson is still scuffling and anyone in the 2 hole might be better at this point.
Probably is over Swanson who doesn't have any kind of track record. His 366 OBP last year was fueled by a 386 BABIP and 5 intentional walks because he hit in front of the pitcher. I think Swanson will eventually fit into that role but that time isn't necessarily right now.
If you believe Dansby eventually profiles as a top-of-the-order hitter, and I absolutely do, then that's where you put him and let him go.

It really is a good thing they brought him up last year to give him a taste of the big leagues so he could get a little success before experiencing failure. 2016 really jump started his career into 2017. Absolutely worth giving up that 29 YO year and carrying him on the 40 man all offseason and driving up his overall braves cost of his career for those two good months at the end of a lost season.

Albies has shown a bit of a platoon split in favor of batting against LHed pitchers in the upper minors. Perhaps the ultimate solution for the next 3-4 years is to let Ender leadoff vs RHers, and Albies leadoff against LHers.
I would recommend leaving Swanson in the 2 spot for a month and see what happens. Much better idea than rotating known bad hitters through the spot like Adonis, d'Arn, Beckham and Castro.
