4/13: Marlins at Braves

I wouldn't be surprised if they IL Fried just to give him some time to figure out what's going on. Especially since I highly doubt anyone is throwing 170+ innings this year, totally fine to give him 10 days off and figure it out from there.

Some one had the insight about Fried earlier in this thread saying he would be going on IL although the reason was different.

I'm not at all surprised

remember when some said how bad could Pache possibly be? well, we’re seeing that he’s completely, totally overmatched. his offense is positively terrible.

Ender isn’t good but he’s better than Pache right now.

Hopefully Pache can make an adjustment bc his bat looks terrible right now. Maybe it makes Waters smell blood in the water and step up.

I hope you are right but as you well know I am not really a big believer in the numbers say this or that from the past I focus on what I see in the here and now and its not pretty.

Luckily for all of baseball, this antiquated method of player evaluation has been abandoned by all teams.

I would rather have Greene and Duvall than Smylylylylykylyly. I think that was THE mistake. If the budget was that tight...you just don’t spend 11 mil on a gamble when you sign Morton also.

This is the argument that was made the moment Smyly was signed. Rolling the dice with Riley/Pache instead of rolling the dice with Wright/Wilson was the choice, and the Braves felt like the position players were a better bet.

It's still too early to make that call, but it's a completely valid position to hold if someone thinks Pache clearly wasn't ready (which is the side I leaned to the entire off season), and the Braves needed a bat more than they needed a SP.
