Last year happened, but even with last season, verdugo still has a .334 OBP for his career vs rhp. In 2023, he was .329 obp with a 109 wrc+ vs rhp. Let's just hope last year was a blip.
 
Verdugo posted a .290 OBP in 2024. He posted a .303 OBP in 33 AAA PAs this season.

In no multiverse should he be leading off for a contending team.
 
I'll put this in a third place, why not lol: I want to see Carlos Rodriguez get a chance at some point. He doesn't have any power but all he does is hit... he's fast, he walks about 10+ percent of the time and only K's around 10-12 percent of the time. He hasn't had a chance in MLB yet and is only 24. Send Fairchild down for him

Personally, I would just move Riley up to leadoff until Acuna is back. Harris certainly isn't a good option...
