Please, you thought Markakis was going to be awful in year 1. He may even end up being a better offensive player than he who shall not be named this year.

No. I said the contract will be awful and I am still certain of that.

He will probably be an above average hitter for the 1st half... But needs to show some power. Also, two games ago his stat line was miserable. Just another example of you jumping to conclusions.

Hey - are you going to condemn how the Braves scored their runs tonight?

I'm about one start away from going all-in on the "Cody Martin should replace Stults or Cahill in the rotation, I don't care which one, either, it doesn't matter" campaign.

What does it matter what his statline was 2 games ago? Markakis is a good hitter. He has been one since he has been in the major leagues.

Why would I condemn a home run. I have no problem with the homerun. I have problems with hitters that always try to hit them.

Markakis hasnt been good for a few years. A 4-4 game doesnt change that. I suspected him of roiding. He had above average power early in his career. Power to all fields. He has no power now.

It's obvious Markakis knows how to hit. He's doing a good job so far with 0 power. The deciding factor on the signing, assuming he can post an OBP over .360 or so this year, is whether Hart will flip him like he should.

Hop on in. There's still room. The only time it gets tight is when Martin pitches. BONER JOKE

Markakis hasn't put up an OBP that high since 2012, in which he only played 104 games

Welcome to spring training boys led by Dalyn. Don't know why he got passed over.
