Hey, good on Fredi for cutting the cord on the "Eric Young, Jr.- Center fielder" gag with impressive celerity.

Not one of the team's best bits, after a winter of spoofs and goofs—but it's a long season.

It might be just due to facing a lefty as Fredi said EYJ might sit vs lefties for Maybin. But Maybin isn't like Perez where he hits lefties best so not an ideal platoon if that's what this is.

Whatever the case, Maybin should be starting vs righties and lefties most games.

Holy ****. This is almost the perfect vs LHP lineup.

Maybin

Would be the perfect lineup, but damn...Fredi really pushed himself to get as close as he did. No complaints.

Yes, Maybin is having a career year so far. He should be starting without question

/ends sarcasm

Ha, good to see you really thought about that one.

We need to give Maybin a shot in hopes to improve his trade value for down the road. Further, Mallex Smith looks like he may be ready no later than 2016 and Perez is out of options next year. I rather carry both of them in CF next year than say lose Perez via waivers simply because we were stuck with Maybin. Perez a righty hits lefties very well so he's an ideal back-up for Smith who is left handed.

Could Fredi be actually........ learning? This must be the first sign of an upcoming apocalypse. I'm scared now.

Ha, good to see you really think either of them will have any trade value.

I also heard Fredi talking about using Grili in non-save siturations in tie games on the road in the future... Maybe some hope after all

Other than Gosslin this is prob our best line up. I would say Dalyn's line up is best, but it's still progress.

Heyward evenutally hit first, so maybe we'll see Markakis up there soon. That said, first has been a plague for the Braves outside of Bourn and Furcal.......so maybe it's best to sacrifice CF to the Braves' line up gods.

Interested to see Simmons. I have no data....but in my mind he rakes at 8th and struggles everywhere else.

It isn't a matter of that, it's about doing what's best to at least give us a shot at doing so. If Maybin bounces back a bit then maybe we can move him without paying for most of what he's owed next year. And as I said Maybin for his career has been better vs righties so he's not someone you want to platoon with EYJ or anyone else vs mostly lefties. That doesn't give him a shot at bouncing back, he needs to be starting more vs righties to have a shot at doing so.
