4/23 GDT Gaus vs Reds

Did they ask him about not using camargo?

You know this is the Atlanta media,we are lucky they even asked about Ozzie’s bunt. They may as well have the Braves ask there own questions and run there own press conferences.

I guess it’s good that the rest of the division hasn’t exactly been all that impressive. But if we could pitch we’d be in first.

Thinking about it, Camargo was the only RHH on our bench after Culberson was used. With first base open, they could’ve walked Camargo and set up Joyce vs a LHP, thereby wasting Camargo and likely Joyce as well (career .569 OPS vs LHP). Snit was probably hoping Ender would reach so they’d have to pitch to Camargo. If that was his reasoning, I can see the logic.

The BP walking everyone is clearly the issue. I’m not sure what else needs to be said really. I’m sure the FI understands this.

The longer AA allows these BBs to cost a clear playoff contender wins, the more costly it’s going to get. If the Braves miss the playoffs by 1-2 games everyone will be able to point to the lack of improvements made to the BP as the #1 cause.

The neglect of the pen was inexcusable. The only way the pen was going to be successful was everyone being completely healthy and no one regressing. AA banked on a best case scenario happening.

I wonder why AA thought Winkler wasn't one of the best bullpen arms this whole time.
