Because he’s the reason the bullpen sucks, apparently.

I don’t blame Josh at all for the bullpen woes from last season to present. I just feel that his funds could have been allocated to fixing the issue. But we were able to “shop at any isle” according to the brass during the offseason. I’m over the JD fault game... not even close to being his fault.

I don't think it's realistic to say that Donaldson was the reason the Braves didn't sign relievers.

We know they were in on Brantley and are lead to believe they were offering something similar to Houston so it's not a sheer lack of funds. Adding helpful pieces would not really have been that expensive anyway. Their inaction suggests a certain amount of happiness with what they had.
