4/25 GDT vs Red Sox: LOL Freddy

Does anyone know who watches the replays for the Braves now that Horacio is gone?

No, but I know Fredi has a say on what to do with the information too just because he is the manager. For example, TB manager would challenge almost anything close just in case and I mean almost anything. I am not saying we need to go as far as he does but what we do is moronic.

When the Braves issued a challenge in yesterday's 8th, it seemed like they didn't want to pocket one. Tonight's play was much closer.

Coming into tonight, Aybar had a -1.1 fWAR. That is 196th out of 196 qualifiers. Averaged 2.3 fWAR over the past 3 years. That's an epic drop-off so far.

The only drop-off I can remember in that neighborhood is B.J. Upton after we signed him.

I don't think Braves fans need Sabermetrics to know that Aybar sucks epically.

Uggla was pretty bad too

The real takeaway is, how has Bowman still not changed his twitter profile picture?

I mean, at some point he had to actively choose this image. He thought to himself, "This is good. People will enjoy looking at this."

There were a lot of signs the last few years that Aybar defense was in decline and obviously he had a poor offensive year again too which suggests a decline in both offense and defense. That combined with him making 8 million (6 of which we pay) made us insisting on him in a trade stupid and worse the spin we made of it. We won't be able to trade him without eating money without a big turnaround on at least offense. It ain't happening IMO.

To sum it up, it's a waste of 6 million when you do better with Castro and using half of that money to sign someone like Freese for third. Then you could trade Freese potentially for something good at the deadline too.

Ha, I challenge anyone to come up with a more respectable picture of Bowman than this. I'm afraid this is as good as it gets.
