I don't know what's worse. Blowing it over a few innings or blowing it all in one inning like we did with the Mets about 10 years or so back.

I think Peterson was left in there for defense.

I don't buy that since Gomes pinch hit for KJ who's splits suggest not such a need and replaced him with Gomes defensively in LF. If a manager is thinking about defense he doesn't do that late IMO.

Am I the only one that has caught that Fredi's refusing to use Cornely since his recall has set up the bullpen to be worse like this?

I found Gomes PH-ing odd as well.

He missed multiple opportunities to use both Kohn and Cornely in recent games. Cornely might debut in extra innings tonight.
