4/30... going for sweep over brewers

I personally don't see how all 3 of those runs should be unearned. I mean that error had nothing to do with the homerun itself. Just one of many issues with the ERA stat.

Snowball effect.

The unearned out would have ended the inning I guess.

Jeff Blauser, Furcal, and Yunel disagree :FrediConfident:

Blauser had some pop in his bat. Bobby thought he was surehanded like Renteria.

Fookie got to a lot of balls most guys wouldn't have gotten to. Yes he had errant throws too but eh.

Yunel was decent.

If I remember correctly most of Furcals throwing errors were on routine groundballs where he had all day to throw but for whatever reason rushed the throw.

Poor play but man Swanson still looks good to me. It may take some time but it will be fun to watch him mature as a ballplayer.

Because Folty "did" get out of the inning with a routine ground ball. Isn't his fault a player behind him didn't do his job.

Which is a dumb rules decision. There is nothing unearned about a homerun.

Well the at bat doesnt happen if Swanson makes a routine play. Maybe he homers first at bat next inning. I would think Folty would have been fresher and would not have been pitching out of the stretch so maybe he gets a different result.

I hope that this is, in fact, an aberration that will be forgotten in time. Right now, though, it just sucks donkey balls.
