4/5 GDT Gausman vs Marlins

A day off is different than moving him down in the order, which is what you seemed to be suggesting. I think most Braves players should be rested liberally this year, relative to days of Snits past.

No where did I say, or infer, that Donaldson should be moved down in the lineup. My post was intended to ask when he would be replaced as the #2 hitter by someone else to get him some rest and to collect his mind. Sure like people telling me what I meant when I say something. Others took as I meant it to be.

Kudos to Gausman for his 6 innings of excellent pitching. His 1st inning was not very stellar but he survived with the 1st of 3 GIDPs.

No, they didn't. Pretty much everyone took you to mean that Donaldson should be moved down in the lineup, because asking how much longer Donaldson should be batting 2nd infers exactly that.

Not taking sides but I think Josh is pressing a bit and probably don't need that pressure now.

This can mean a lot of things, but I hate seeing you guys fight over something that seems logical from many angles.

I'd be worried about Donaldson if he was holding back on his swing or defense at 3B. He looks healthy out there to me. Just looks like an early season slump.

Glad we held on to win. I missed the exciting ninth it sounds like. Early morning yesterday coupled with a few early Makers mark had me wiped out by the 5th. Knew I had to call it or my day today would be ****. Tough pitcher tonight. But this is where Donaldson earns his bacon. Calling 4rbis for the Don man.

The decision was really simply to just leave Biddle in. And here we are.

The problem with Vizcaino is that he has to pitch regularly to even remotely stay sharp and seeing he is inconsistent to begin with, that's going to be an on-going issue with him. Like I've said before, he has to pitch often to stay sharp, but his durability questions make it difficult for him to pitch as often as he should.

Yeah he's knocking the piss out of the ball when he hits it. Just a little unlucky so far. If the bat was slow, I think we'd know by now.
