You have to factor in letting him hit with a runner on 2b too
Imagine paying Martin and Smith over 20 million a year combined to only pitch with the lead
Doubtful. And not pinch hitting may have cost the team from scoring a run.

I remember a couple of years ago Snit did something stupid with his pitching management, and then miraculously the next day and until the end of the season he started doing it correctly. Almost like someone got into his ass about it.
