5/25 Braves seeking runs, any kind of runs, vs Brewers

We can't score on the worst pitching staff in the NL. Garcia is .356/.413/.616. Uhhh... Get him up!

No cause he might help us win games. I'm all in for the #1 pick. This year's draft and the International pool has me excited to see us get the #1 pick next year.

Gotta chalk tonight's game up to a few things: first, our third fourth and 5th hitters combined for 1 for 18 tonight with a small island population left on base. Second, we were flat out out managed. Oh well....

On a positive side I loved what I saw from Inciarte and d'arnaude at the top of the lineup. And though folty didn't have his best stuff, he battled like a bulldog out there. Good for him.

If you watched the game, I know you noticed the crowd. It's May and the braves' crowd could fit in Georgia tech's baseball stadium. Anyone think Liberty media is gonna push the FO to promote Albies and Swanson just to put people in the seats? A completely empty stadium isn't a good thing for the business side

No joke, it reminded me of a lot of the games I worked at Gwinnett

Albies and Swanson won't put butts in the seat. Two things will do that. Getting some high profile players to create buzz or start winning again. This year there is no hope.

Can't imagine the TV ratings are any better. I'm watching a lot of Mariners baseball instead. Good pitching interests me, so I enjoy Wisler and Teheran once in a while. But I was in El Paso on business a couple weeks ago and went to the Chihuahuas funky little downtown park. Not only was is packed, great food and ambience, but I'm pretty sure both lineups were superior to the Braves'.

It doesn't help when the team is 2-19 at home. I mean, seriously, is that even possible?

The 10-14 road record is actually, kind of what I thought this team would be like this year. That's about 68 wins. But holy crap we can't win a game at home to save our lives.

Also, so much for the easier schedule - we are 0-5 against teams under .500 so far.

Despite beating ourselves on a nightly basis, we remain winless against teams under .500.

Liberty Media has no participation in baseball operations. They don't set a budget, add or take away funds or make any input on player development or rosters per an agreement they signed with MLB before the stock swap was approved that brought the braves to them. McGuirk runs the show and the only thing they do is approve the annual budget he presents to them, which , as long as it does not exceed revenue they always will. I know a guy who'd accounting firm did the diligence on the TW/LM deal and he broke it all down for us. Liberty basically owns the Braves like you own a mutual fund. It's yours, but you don't have any say so in the day to day operations.
