5/29 GDT - nats game 3

Some positives! Some positives?!! You stupid MFer, there no positives losing to a trash team again. Please fire that dumb SOB

Kerr starting tomorrow night. Braves will be 2-5 vs pirates and nats. Can we start putting snit on the hot seat, please?

I know I and many others get frustrated and some express it way too much, but all in all I am not really that upset with this team. They are a talented bunch that has just lost their way at the plate. My biggest grip is still the leaders of the org (AA, Twit, seltzer)

IMO, it is clear as day that they just show up and play ball. There are lazy approaches almost every plate appearance. I am sure the hitters 'work' on things.. tweak this, tweak that.. but do they ever do any video work.. It seems every team is basically doing the same thing over and over to every hitter and there still has been no adjustment. Every player just goes up and pulls the ball.. and it is not like they are not getting pitches in the zone to hit.. They have the highest swing at in zone % yet the lowest zone contact % to me that is because they are trying to pull the ball and it means the timing has to be perfect. Letting the ball travel and taking a pitch middle to middle outer half the other way is a great approach, but no one other than TDA really does that.

I feel like they need to break up a spencer start and the quad A starters to not destroy the pen, but then this team has Morton who is not really good either... but I still think they need to have a more Fried/spencer/sale/morton/lopez/quad A rotation. Skip a few starts if you have to.. but I think it allows the pen to reset better.

I thought this was a very solid debut for Schwellenbach considering his experience level. I would have liked to bring him up to be a 2-3 inning guy out of the pen rather than start right away.

I think both could be true. Let him start but with a specific pitch count or times through. State was right, insane, but he was right... should have been pulled sooner and not trying to get him a win. Tiwt

But overall, I agree with you. It wasn't a bad start. Looks like he has a pretty average array of pitches with his slider being the best of the bunch. probably need a few starts to see how control and pitch break will normalize.. but he is better than Vines and Elder for sure.
