Sims has 42 strikeouts in 26 2/3 IP this year between the two levels. Opponents are hitting .163 against him as well. Can he keep it up? His stint last year at mississippi looked pretty similar on the back of his baseball card. this kid...look out world.

And then he carried it over to the AFL. He has finally turned that corner I believe as a TOR starter we all thought he could be.

Curious to see if Sims gets a late call to Atlanta this summer. He has to go on the 40-man roster over the winter anyway, so it's not like the decision to bring him up would mess with that calculus.

When Fredi gets fired (and it's sounding more like "when" than "if"), I hope we hire a caretaker who will be patient and careful with the young pitchers.

That's why I want Bud Black, he's one of the best in that area IMO.

With all the hype that Touki, Newcomb, Blair, and Folty got/are getting, I truly believe Sims is going to be the jewel of that group. He's learning to pitch and not just throw..

Sims gave up a bomb in the 2nd and 4 hits through 2, but 3 K/0 BB so far. That's the main thing I care about with him.

Sims has long been tops on my list, only Blair on that list dropped him out of that spot. I see both Blair and Sims as the two jewels of that group. But for me Blair was our number one pitching prospect.

Sims looks good outside the home run pitch. He's had some brutal outfield defense behind him.

He didn't throw anything offspeed in the first and had a perfect inning with two Ks, coming against Cameron Maybin and Tyler Collins. He was throwing nothing but fastballs in the second and the first two batters went single then homer. Almost seemed like he was working on something to throw the fastball that much. All things considered, I'm impressed after two innings.

Man, Sims get another cheap hit against him and then gives up another two run bomb. Not his night tonight.
