#52 GDT 5/28: Braves (Floyd) at Red Sox , 7:05

BJ and Justin now 1-2 in the majors in strikeouts. Justin somehow manages to have an OPS .365 higher with one less strikeout and 4 more walks in only a few more plate appearances.

Think Justin is hitting the ball a little harder when he does hit it?

I was thinking that something was wrong with Justin when he didn't get an XBH during his 3-3 yesterday.

It's going to do us no good if we're fortunate enough to make it into October and are facing good pitching.

So what were you trying to say then? Strikeouts just don't matter if you can walk and hit for power.

When you need a hit with the season on the line against a pitcher with good control who is difficult to homer off of, they become magnified. I don't want to jump on Justin too much, because as you said he's had a good year. But he's never going to be the guy until he cuts down on the strike outs.
