6/1 GDT: Giants at Braves (3 of 4) -- Seismic Collision

Don't look now, but this team is developing an effective bullpen with guys like Vizzy, Withrow, Simmons coming back, Cervenka, Krol.....etc

Nice read by Adonis, Blanco momentum seemed to be taking him the other way so might have been tough to make a throw that way quick enough. Now ball gets away tie game.

That was the play of the game, obviously outside of Freddie's walk off. If Adonis holds up any there, SF wins this game in regulation.

Yep. Plus he made some plays on defense at third that were key too. No hits but his baserunning and defense was huge tonight. Pretty funny since he was sent down to work on LF and he's only playing third now and doing well there so far unlike earlier this year.

How is Texas in first with a worse bullpen than us? Seriously, they have three good arms but the rest either suck or are so-so at best. They might be calling us about Viz or another arm near the deadline, their bullpen cost them tonight as all their good arms had the night off.

My new job is at 5, so I missed the end, but fantastic game from what I could see from stats. I've really enjoyed watching this team the last three weeks - almost as if a manager change was needed!

Don't think it has much to do with the managerial change.

Aybar isn't playing so that's a plus. Francouer all of the sudden had a hot streak there. Freeman sucked for the first month of the season. Our starting pitching was all over until a few weeks ago. We had musical chairs in the bullpen. It's a bit more settled in now.

Inciarte was on the DL.

I'm not kidding myself. We're still a bad baseball team. But it's nice to see us come back off the deck for once. I don't know if it was Fredi, but the team just seemed to be sleepwalking too much under him. A bad offense (and we have one) will do that to a team as any opponent's lead instills a notion that it is insurmountable. I don't think it's Snitker per se, but the team needed a jolt.

Let's be careful not to get any false hopes. The team still sucks. 7-8 over the last 15 games just looks that much better over how we were playing previously. We've taken the first two of three from the Giants, but we also got swept by the damn Brewers at home.

2 1 run losses vs Brewers with 1 in 13 innings. I'm certainly not saying we're a good team, but we are pitching like a good team... If we continue to pitch this well, we'll win some games
