6/10 Game 1 vs Mets...Sean Newcomb Day

Wonder about how big a difference a true ML catcher can make on a young guy like Newk? I'm guessing Flowers had way more control over everything than any catcher he's pitched to before.

Well, Newk certainly wasn't some 95-96 TOR beast he was sold as, but his stuff is definitely good enough to be a fixture in the rotation. If pitching to Flowers truly benefits him as much as it appears, the Braves may be able to consider a 2018 rotation spot filled.

Just speculating but I'd guess having a MLB strike zone called by MLB umps makes a big difference!!
