This team needs more groundball pitchers, more like Miller and Perez who make use of sinkers and have good ones. We have a great infield up the middle and solid at both corners too minus CJ. So make use of that.
However, I am afraid we won't have as great defense for a while after tonight. I think Simmons is hurt.

He's not a big name prospect so probably right, might bring about what we got for David Hale. I wouldn't do that deal again and certainly not for Perez.

Agreed, I like Perez more than Hale and if that's the type of deal we get, then na thanks.

Yes...if Simmons gets DLd, Perazza will be up. No doubt. Him or jace can lay SS. It's either that or CJ at 3B, Uribe at 2B, and JP at ss

He hasn't played short all year. My guess is it would be Daniel Castro if someone had to be called up. Castro has also been hitting better than Peraza lately.

Yea, that is true too. I figure if Peraza came up he'd play second and Peterson would move to short. But then again they probably don't want to mess with Peterson by moving him. If so then Castro may get the call over Peraza as you say.

Hopefully I am wrong and it's just a day-to-day deal. Best case I think. Simmons is tough so him staying in doesn't tell us much. That throw by him looked bad though.

I can't imagine that hand is going to be any better tomorrow than it is today. Just crossing my fingers for negative x-rays. Tron's not the one to come out of a game, but I wish he had.

Rainy night and wet ball. I don't think it is broken. But it will probably swell up and they'll have him sit out a couple days until the swelling goes down. Maybe Castro up and Marimon back down.
