6/17... vs marlins

Wonder how bad the defense would be with kemp in right and Adams in left. Time to dumb markakis.

Adams only played 30+ innings in left but he was on pace for something like -30 hypothetical runs. I see no reason not to play him in left and Kemp in right. I mean as long as Adams catches balls hit right to him and sustains his 900+ OPS instead of being the 770 OPS guy he has been for his career we should be just fine.

I don't see how he could be a ton worse given how little action he would get in left. If we could move Kemp...wouldn't be a horrible plan. Coppy loves Kemp though, so he isn't going to trade him. He will hold onto him until he starts declining.

I would say he would also get a "little" better the more action he got out there.

If a person doesn't see the problem with Kemp defensively they I'm sure they won't see the problem with Adams defensively.

The problem with any idea of moving Adams to a corner OF spot he is that he's not going to hit anywhere close to make up for his less than bad defense. He's had a great run since coming to Atlanta but I hope nobody expects that to last.

I don't. I think he should be traded. It would be a shame for him to sit on the bench that much for us. Would be a GREAT DH or 1st baseman.

If he was a great 1B or DH he would of been playing 1B for the Cards or another team would of traded for him to be that. He's an average at best 1B who's having a really hot stretch for the Braves.

I don't know much about Adams' hitting past... but I will say that he did lose a **** ton of weight, and Sun Trust plays really well for what he does (loft the ball)

What if he is entering his prime and improves his skills? Past doesn't always predict the future.

The park certainly inflates his numbers a bit. Lefties that can pull will hit well here.

I think it's just lazy to look at past stats of a part time player and definitively say that will be there future. It'd not often when it's different but that's what scouts are paid for.

Santana is not the kind of guy you see on the roster of a contender. Weakest AB I've seen all year. Looked like a relief pitcher swinging the bat.
