6/17... vs marlins

Not physically possible

Yeah - Its really a shame because the guy can really pitch. At this point I feel fine about offering him arby. I'm just not sure we are going to get a prospect that is either worth a first round pick or a potential healthy season from Garcia next year. Of course it could blow up in our face and he can suffer the inevitable injury after the deadline or next year.

No way would I want to offer Garcia ~18 million for one season. Best chances are to package him with other useful parts to a team and get the best prospect possible.

Most of are hitters are not good

We've actually had a bunch of players perform well this year (and we still suck)

Ender

Phillips

Adams

Freeman

Kemp

Flowers

have all been great relative to expectations.

Markakis has been mar kakis

Just shows you that:

1. Power still matters, and we don't have any

2. Our pitching is baaaaad

I still wouldn't consider Ender and Phillips good hitters. Both have been squarely average this year and there is nothing wrong with that.

We've had good or better hitting out of LF, C, and 1B this year.

And good is a very subjective term. Is good top 5 in MLB, top 1/2, or what?

I would guess most people would say it's top 3rd. Anything close to 1/2 is usually average especially the difference between those teams is generally very small.

Phillips is 1.1 oWAR on BR

I'm saying relative to expectations.

Just shows we have a lot of improvement yet to make
