It doesn’t have to secured. Just “in” the glove (doesn’t need to even hit the glove).

I've never heard it that way. The ball has to impact the glove...it was inside it, but didn't appear to have stopped. It does have to be controlled by the fielder though.

Either way, it wasn't definitive enough to overturn. I'd say the same if they had called him out on the field.

You have heard wrong. It does not have to impact the glove.
