Yankees promoted Aaron Judge to AAA.

Still wondering if a Peraza/Judge swap would've been good for the Braves.

I'm team Peraza all the way, but that trade made too much sense for the Braves not to make.

I never bought into the supposed rumors. They seemed rather unsubstantiated at the time.

GCL roster includes Juan Yepez, listed as 6'1, 200 lbs. Several other 17-year olds are skipping the DSL and going straight to the GCL: OF Isranel Wilson (St. Thomas/Dominican Republic), RHP Alan Rangel (Mexico), CF Ronald Acuna (Venezuela).

Weren't the rumors that the Yankees were interested in Peraza but that Judge specifically wasn't available? I think it was just Braves fans that then debated whether it would be a good deal if he was available.

My stance remains the same - I'm ok dealing Peraza, but personally I'd try to package him for more as I'm not a huge fan of Judge.

IIRC, all the speculation derived from renowned shade-thrower Jeff Wren reporting that the Yankees sent a senior scout to watch the Gwinnett Braves play and, supposedly, specifically Peraza.

Peraza would fit the Yankees needs more so than he would fit the Braves, but I'm not sure we match up all that well unless they included Severino and/or Judge.

Nice start by Luis Gamez, a righty we drafted out of HS in the 11th round last year.

In the GCL, Bladimir pitched bladly.

Nice to see a good start out of Gamez, who was an out of leftfield pick last year. My guess is they'll move him to Danville if he pitches well in his first few starts in the GCL.

Danville roster is also online.

I'm a big Peraza fan but I'm all for shopping him. Doesn't really seem to have a place with Jace at 2B and Mallex at CF

Man-Ban just lost his perfect game in the 6th to what looked like an error, but officially ruled a hit at this point. The announcers said the official scorer plans to look at it again so still may be changed to an error. The runner was then picked off btw.

Man-Ban just got the last out of the 6th, ball hit him on foot and went right to Garcia at third who threw to first for out. The one hit against him should be changed to an error, if so he'll still have a no hitter to start the 7th (hopefully his foot is okay).

The official scorer is apparently refusing to change that "hit" to an error despite the ground ball called a hit that got through being hit pretty much right at Garcia. Maybe it took a bad bounce but that's an error and I am not just saying that due to the no hitter implications here. Braves announcers thought so too.

Pitching depth is absurdly good right now. If the Braves really want to think about the future they would trade one of their young starters at the deadline to a hungry team. They could probably get a kings ransom.

Man-Ban is back out for the 7th and looks fine after that ball hit him on the foot. I'm honestly surprised the official scorer is sticking to calling that apparent error a hit. This game is in Gwinnett and he's being a hard ass.

Well, they just got a legit hit with one out in the 7th so no matter now. But who knows if that effected anything since he didn't change it.

How is Man-Ban's fastball looking? Has it gained speed over the season like they thought?

I am watching on MILB.tv and not seeing the radar gun on this feed. So I am not sure his average velocity tonight. Maybe they'll mention it in an article after the game. Braves announcers haven't said anything so my guess it's about same as most recent starts.

PS: Braves announcers still annoyed at the official scorer, they are calling this a one hitter so far refusing to count that first "hit". They said they're almost glad about that legit hit against him because they'd hated seeing him not get a no hitter that way.

This ump is squeezing Man-Ban but he says screw that and still strikeouts two batters swinging for another 1-2-3 inning. :)

Umpire has had a tight zone at times, which makes this no walks shutout even more impressive by Man-Ban IMO.

PS: Man-Ban is at 88 pitches through 8 innings.
