6/24: dodgers game 1

The mood swings of most posters on this board verges on dissociative identity disorder, and is a little concerning.

The Braves lost a single game to a good team and all the typical defense mechanisms used by children to cope with trauma have been exhibited by what I assume are grown adults. In fact, my 5 year old just used the “I don’t really care about winning this game” strategy this morning when he was threatened with having a toy taken away.

I mean, I get pissed about losing too, but some of these posters seem to have the memory span of a chimpanzee.

Good description. Great reason why my participation in the game threads has lessened

Some on the Dodger side don’t seem to be thrilled with Freddie’s return last night

I wondered that while I was watching it. Some of his teammates weren’t clapping and didn’t look to thrilled. They all know if Freddie could change it he would. They were his 2nd choice and it’s pretty obvious.

And yet he’s going to post 6 WAR for them this year and get MVP consideration.

They’ll get over it. Freeman has every right to be bummed out on his first trip back, even if it was his fault.

If anything that last part probably makes the emotions even worse

That last part indeed says it all.

“You don’t know what you got til it’s gone”

Must be a thousand country songs about the cowboy who was too stupid to realize what he had, and now the love of his life is long gone with somebody new
