Honestly, a bit of both. The Mets are not in a good place right now - luckily for them, the Nats aren't either.

Just realized Neil Walker of the Mets is set to be a free agent. Not great by any means but he would be a serious upgrade to what we have. 14+ homers the last 5 years and can play 2b and 3b. Switch hitter and decent obp skills. Not a whole lot better to spend money on.

Man, Bud is doing all he can to net us a really solid prospect. His ERA has been around 2.58 since April, not counting today.
