Is he on any kind of innings limit that anyone has heard? Like 100 or 120?
I would imagine that he has one. It will be interesting to see if they put him in Carolina at any point. He may stay in Rome for the year and skip Carolina and go straight to Mississippi next year. He could be on track to arrive in Atlanta as a 23 year old in 2018.
Fried was the #2 rated HS arm in the 2012 draft behind his high school teammate Lucas Giolito. Lucas Sims was the 6th highest rated HS arm in that class according to BA. Lance McCullers was a HS arm in that draft and was #3.
I still think Lucas Sims can be really good, but he's getting on that border to where he needs to start showing that his stuff is translating.
After the stretch he had to close last year and this year early, I'm not that worried about him. I think he has top of the rotation stuff if he can learn to manage mistakes and damage control a bit better.
Nice debt by Wentz and great day for Fried. Curious to see what they do with Fried at this point. I could see him heading to Carolina for a few starts and then being shut down mid-August.
PS--Cruz and Pache (how does one pronounce his name?) off to good starts.

I highly doubt it. The dude has the control of a 7 year old boy.
Thats usually the last thing to develop for pitchers
