Viz pitching like he doesn't want to be traded. He wants to stay and be one of the anchor's for our bullpen when the rebuild comes to fruition.

Incredible display of clutchness, veteran leadership, maturity and grit this inning

I never understood the mocking of this stuff. you make it seem like only talent is important and that other stuff (leadership, playing hard, etc) don't matter. I'm sure you're not saying it doesn't matter at all, but the consistent mocking of it seems to undersell it.

I think he just has a generally dry sense of humor which is pretty funny. And I think you're reading way too much into it.

The marlins are 6.5 back of first place in the east. Will we singlehandedly wreck their playoff chances?

Why does it matter to you? Are the Braves a team that value these things over talent? Do you? I take it as a long running joke about the DBacks.

Actually I think it is important. Just because something is hard to measure doesn't make it unimportant. If you want a deconstruction of my humor, what I'm really mocking is confusing the things in my list with luck (such as the tendency for hitting well with RISP to come and go). Often when a team or player has a nice run of hitting with RISP they get praised for "playing the game the right way", for being "clutch", etc etc. Teams that go in a slump with RISP get criticized for not caring and being unclutch, etc etc. Allen Craig had not one but two consecutive phenomenal seasons of hitting well with RISP with the Cardinals. Was greatly admired for his clutchness. Then it all stopped. Maybe it was injuries. I suspect it was largely a random thing.

If you want a really deep deconstruction of what many of my posts are about, they often have to do with the distinction between form and quality. Now I would not claim that this is an easy distinction to draw. But for me (and I'm not saying that this should be the case for other fans) a lot of what makes the game interesting is trying to understand what aspects of a player's or team's performance are likely to be sustained (quality) and which are just the ups and downs that are a normal part of any endeavor that has a significant random element. See Chase D'Arnaud, who seems to be a really great guy and ideal teammate, for a recent example of what I'm talking about.
