6/4... reds game 3

I thought it was already settled science that Inciarte was a very good player that will post 3-4+ WAR? Now that he's had a couple hot weeks everyone gets all excited about the fact they just realized he is good? When he goes through another .500 OPS stretch over 2 weeks will the narrative change yet again?

Posi-Barves are an odd bunch.

So now we can't even speak accurately about players if those things have already been stated in the past. Please tell us, kind sir, what things we may talk about.

Wasn't this about the fact that he has now done it for a full calendar year, making it more likely that this is the player he is, not just a hot streak? If a guy has more frequent and longer "hot streaks," that would suggest that he is really improving as he matures rather than just getting lucky from time to time.

You can chat about anything you want. I just find it amusing. And I am free to chat about how amusing it is.

Oh my gosh, this Ender guy is good! Do you remember what folks were saying about him a few weeks ago?

Remember when Sims was going good for 40 innings and suddenly he was a top prospect again? Now, crickets about Sims. Or when Riley was hitting well and was a top guy? Now? Crickets. Matt Adams was so good after his first few games with the Braves folks wanted him to play 3B, or trade him for a Top 100 prospect. Now? Not so much.

Just commenting on how funny I find the ups and downs of the Posi-Barves.

Fans want to talk about players when they are playing well and don't like talking about them when they're not. What insight! How hilarious!

They overestimate their talent/value when they are going well, and underestimate them when they are going bad. It leads to hyperbole in both directions, and yes, it is amusing.

The commentary around here about Albies and his "struggles" is comedic gold.

Most of your posts here amount, basically, to, 'Wow, I'm just now realizing that fans are emotionally invested and thus not entirely rational and impartial in their opinions and assessments.'
